To hire a dungeon in London, choose a private venue that publishes its prices and house rules, pick an hourly or overnight slot, pay online and receive the address by email. At Bayswater Dungeon Suite in West London, hourly hire starts at £65, overnight stays at £300, and every guest must be 18 or over.
That is the short version. The rest of this guide walks through each decision in the order you will actually face it, from choosing the right kind of space to what happens when you close the door behind you. We have run the suite since 2022, and most of the questions below come straight from our inbox.
What does hiring a dungeon actually mean?
Hiring a dungeon means renting a private, fully equipped play space for a fixed period. You get exclusive use of the rooms, the furniture and the toys, and nobody else is there during your booking. It is closer to renting a studio than visiting a club.
Be clear about what is not included. A dungeon for hire provides the space and the equipment only. At Bayswater Dungeon Suite we do not supply staff, participants or any personal services. You bring your own partner, your own plans and your own experience.
Which type of dungeon hire suits you?
Most London venues offer two formats. Hourly hire suits a single scene, a photoshoot or a date. An overnight stay suits anyone who wants to slow down, play late and wake up without watching the clock.
| Format | Best for | Our price |
|---|---|---|
| 1 hour | A short, focused scene | £65 |
| 2 hours | First visits and most couples | £120 |
| 4 hours | Longer scenes, shoots, rope practice | £220 |
| 6 hours | A full afternoon or evening | £300 |
| Overnight, Sunday to Thursday | An unhurried stay (18:00 to 11:00) | £300 |
| Overnight, Friday or Saturday | Weekend stays | £350 |
Daytime rates cover up to two people and overnight rates are priced for a couple. Extra guests can be added, up to a maximum of four people in total. The full breakdown, including early check-in and late check-out, is on our booking options page.
How do you book a dungeon in London, step by step?
| Step | What to do | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Shortlist venues | Look for published prices, photos of the actual rooms and written house rules. | Transparency is the best early sign of a professional, clean venue. |
| 2. Check the equipment list | Make sure the furniture you want is there, and note any items charged as extras. | Avoids disappointment and surprise costs on the day. |
| 3. Choose your slot | Pick hourly or overnight, then add time for arriving, showering and packing up. | Your booking ends when it ends; rushing spoils a scene. |
| 4. Book and pay online | Give accurate contact details, including a working phone number. | Your confirmation email is your contract and carries the reschedule link. |
| 5. Read the confirmation | Note the address, arrival time and any ID request. | We share the exact address only after booking. |
| 6. Plan the session | Agree limits and a safeword with your partner before you arrive. | Conversations are easier over coffee than in the moment. |
Our own bookings are made through the online calendar and confirmed by email. Professional packages and longer stays are arranged by email instead.
What is included when you hire a private dungeon?
Inclusions vary a great deal between venues, so always ask. At our suite, every booking includes:
- Exclusive use of the dungeon, the bedroom, a private kitchen and a bathroom with shower.
- The full dungeon equipment list: bondage chair, cage bed, spanking bench, wooden stocks, smother chair, restraints, impact implements and much more.
- Consumables such as condoms, lubricant and gloves.
- Waterproof “Sheets of San Francisco” for messy play, and luxury bedding for overnight stays.
A few specialist items carry a small rental fee, for example the textile sling with crescent frame at £30 or the heavy-duty RedUK sling frame at £50. Food and drink are not included. Light snacks are available for a small fee, and you are welcome to bring your own.
What rules should you expect?
Every reputable venue has house rules, and they exist to keep you safe. Ours are short and clear:
- Everyone must be 18 or over, and we may ask to see photo ID at check-in.
- A maximum of four people per booking, and only the guests named on it.
- No smoking anywhere in the suite, and no illegal drugs.
- All activity must be lawful and between consenting adults, and anyone can withdraw consent at any time.
- Equipment is used within its limits. The textile sling, for example, has a maximum load of 120 kg.
- Messy activities happen on the waterproof sheets provided.
A venue with no rules at all should make you cautious rather than relieved.
How much does it cost to hire a dungeon in London?
Expect to pay roughly the price of a good hotel room for a few hours, and a little more than a hotel night for an overnight stay. Our hourly rates run from £65 for one hour to £300 for six. A weekday night is £300 and a Friday or Saturday night is £350.
Watch for the extras that change the final figure: additional guests, specialist equipment, early check-in (£40) or late check-out (£50), and higher rates on the night before a Bank Holiday. Payment is taken in full when you book, and for overnight stays and bookings of six hours or more we also place a £100 pre-authorisation on your card, released after your stay.
What if your plans change?
Ask about the cancellation policy before you pay. Ours is simple: bookings are non-refundable, but you can move your booking to another available date yourself, using the link in your confirmation email, up to 72 hours before your visit. If we ever have to cancel, you choose between a full refund and a new date.
How do you choose a safe, clean dungeon?
Cleanliness is the one thing you cannot check from a photo, so ask directly how the space is cleaned between bookings. A good answer names the products and the process. We disinfect every surface and every piece of equipment after each booking with Versan viricidal disinfectant, and the suite has a Luxibel B hybrid UVC sanitation system. You can read the full routine on our hygiene and safety page.
Other good signs include clear photos of the real rooms, a reachable host and honest answers about what is and is not provided.
Your pre-booking checklist
- Have you agreed the date, duration and number of guests with everyone coming?
- Have you checked the equipment list and added any extras you need?
- Does everyone have valid photo ID with them?
- Have you planned food and drink, since they are not included?
- Have you talked through limits, a safeword and aftercare?
- Have you allowed time at the end to shower and pack?
- Do you know how to reach the suite by Tube, or where to find paid street parking?
If any of these leave you with a question, our FAQs cover most of them, and you can always email us before booking. When you are ready, you can book an hourly session or reserve an overnight stay online in a few minutes.
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book a dungeon in London?
Evenings, Fridays and Saturdays go first, so two to three weeks ahead is sensible. Our calendar accepts bookings up to 180 days in advance, and quieter weekday daytime slots can often be booked the same week.
Can I hire a dungeon for just one hour?
Yes. Our shortest booking is one hour at £65. Many first-time guests choose two hours (£120) so they have time to settle in, set up and shower afterwards.
Do I need experience to hire a dungeon?
No. You hire a private space, not a class, so beginners are welcome. You are responsible for using the equipment safely, so start with items you understand and ask us if you are unsure what something is for.
Is the address of the dungeon public?
No. We are in Bayswater, W2, close to Bayswater, Queensway and Paddington stations. The exact address is sent to you once your booking is confirmed.
